Vidyodaya began its journey on 24th February 1924, when Mrs. E.S. Appasamy, a visionary in education, founded the school with the aim of providing girls with a truly holistic education.
The school was envisioned to be wholly Indian in outlook, interfaith and all-round in scope, with due emphasis on fine arts and culture while maintaining a strong academic foundation.
Over the decades, Vidyodaya has continued to grow while remaining committed to its founding ideals. The school strives to nurture students through academic excellence, values, creativity, discipline and a strong sense of social responsibility.
